  • The aforementioned digital platform makes it simple for applicants to apply for admission to the University of Pretoria to pursue their studies. Certain steps must be fulfilled during the application process while applying to study at UP. Applicants must fulfill the standards that govern the program in order to be accepted quickly.

UP online registration dates 2023-2024

Students who have been admitted or are presently enrolled at the University of Pretoria can now register online. Because registration is entirely online, students will not be able to register on campus.

The University of Pretoria began accepting applications for the academic year on January 3rd. The registration call center will be open until February 28 to help students with their registration questions.

Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 16:00 p.m., students can call the registration center.

Students are registered using the UP Student Portal. The following students may register on the following dates:

  • 3 January¬† for Ph.D., Master’s, Veterinary Science, and Health Science students
  • The deadline for new students is January 25,
  • 1 February¬† for senior students

Students who have not paid their first registration fee or completed and submitted their online enrollment contract may not be allowed to enroll.

  • Those with outstanding library materials will be unable to register, even if they have paid their first registration fee.
  • In order to facilitate registration, students must submit their initial fees at least five days prior to registration.
  • Bursary recipients must send an email confirmation from their sponsor/bursar at least five days prior to enrollment. These letters should be sent to externalbursaries@up.ac.za.
  • Students will be accountable for the initial payment if the letter is not sent.
  • Students receiving NSFAS funding are excused from paying the first registration fee or submitting a confirmation letter.
  • Once the authorities have authorized their money, the financial hold will be released and students will be able to enroll.
  • Non-South African citizens must send the university documentation of their medical aid and study permission before registering. Please email the materials to isd@up.ac.za.
