About North-West University 

  • North-West College is proud of its modern, well-equipped facilities, which were created with the student in mind.
    Marsha Fuerst created North-West College (NWC) in 1966. Since the early 1950s, Mrs. Fuerst’s family has been interested in allied health. Mitchell Fuerst, Mrs. Fuerst’s son, still owns and runs North-West College. One of the College’s driving principles is the Fuersts’ excitement for career education and the goal of offering high-quality, relevant training.

How To Apply North-West University Online application

The processes for applying to North-West University Online are outlined here.

  1. Get a student number (Go to step 2 if you already have one)
    • Go to the new online application platform
    • Click on ‘New application’
    • Click on ‘Create new student number’ and complete all the fields
  2. Log in
  3. Choose what you want to study
    • Here you may find information about courses, entrance criteria, and so on.
  4. Upload supporting documents
    • Grade 12 results (only June or final results, no March results), grade 11 results (only final results), or a copy of your matric certificate – if you have previously completed matric.
    • a copy of your identification
    • a copy of your academic transcript (if applicable)
    • Additional paperwork for potential overseas students:
    • a duplicate of the relevant findings
    • a duplicate of your passport

  5. Submit application

NWU candidates must provide supporting documentation (where applicable)

  • Authenticated copy of your ID/passport
  • Authorized copy of your National Senior/Matric Certificate, O/A Levels, or other applicable school leaving qualification/certificate.
  • If you are an international candidate, you must provide proof from Institutions South Africa (formerly known as HESA) that you are eligible for admission to degree studies at South African universities. Refer to the undergraduate prospectus for further details.
  • If you attended other universities, please provide certified copies of your degree certificate(s), academic record, and certificate of conduct.
  • International candidates from non-English speaking nations must provide proof of English competency.
  • If the prior qualification(s) was/were achieved at a foreign university, the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) evaluates it (outside South Africa).
  • If you are applying for a master’s or Ph.D., you must submit a research proposal/proposed title for your dissertation/thesis.
  • If you are an international student, you will need a valid study visa to study in South Africa.
  • Please ensure that you have read the requirements above before applying online.
  • Please verify that you have all of the HESA/SAQA paperwork needed to complete your application.
  • When paying the application fee, please use the reference APPN (followed by your student number).
  • Please give the system 24 to 48 hours to process your payment.
